1” medium-soft clear lexan ball with large brass insert on rattan shaft. Hardness Scale = 6 Rattan shaft 7.5mm thick ( or – due to natural taper of rattan ) and 13.5” long. This has become the standard mallet for Sleeping Beauty as well as La Mer passages. Often imitated, but nothing matches our propriety materials used in the ball and the insert together. The exclusive combination of this ball, insert and select rattan shaft is incomparable. Also great on xylophone and crotales. A very lush, transparent and pretty sound with no contact sound at all.
