NEW! The carbon fiber Dresdner series features the same cores and coverings as our classic Tonkin Dresdner models but with a proprietary 10.5mm carbon fiber shaft finished with a custom bamboo finish. Benefits of these models are flawless pitch and weight matching throughout the range and a much higher natural pitch. All of this equates to a more rigid shaft response compared to Tonkin, with ultra quick rebound and response. Warm, clear and round sound with no contact noise and a “tweener” from Dresdner 4 cork and the Dresdner 5. A few grams heavier and warmer in sound from its cork version. Good choice for Finlandia and many other excerpts because there’s just enough felt to roll nicely but not so much that you feel the need to articulate through all the felt. Minimally voiced.
