KXSR – Extra soft 1 1/8” tan rubber ball on rattan. Hardness Scale = 1 Rattan shaft 7.5mm thick ( or – due to natural taper of rattan ) and 13.5” long. Natural rubber tan ball. Softer than green rubber and brown KSR models, making it an excellent on-stage warm up mallet that only you will hear. Perfect for daily practice as well, not too bouncy on the bars and no contact sound at all. Excellent for certain orchestral marimba repertoire in low register. For people taking auditions this is a necessity. Warm up in your hotel room or in a warm up room on marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel or vibes in complete privacy. Will not dent or damage bars.
