1 1/8” medium green rubber ball on rattan. Hardness Scale = 3 Rattan shaft 7.5mm thick ( or – due to natural taper of rattan ) and 13.5” long. Has higher percentage of natural rubber than older models. Not too bouncy on the bars and no contact sound at all. Excellent for certain Orchestral marimba repertoire also/Messiaen. Particularly good in high register of marimba. Will not dent or damage bars.
